This past Saturday morning was very busy! My stake put on a clothes swap at 10am. I went over Friday night during the Bullock family dinner and dropped off our trunk full of clothes; they had so many clothes there that they were probably there all night sorting! I was so excited and had invited any of the girls who wanted to come. Mom Bullock, Mom Milar, Stephanie, Natalie, Rachel, Paige, Tiffany, Sheri, Tara and Sarah all came.
The first clothes swap I went to last year at Tara's stake center I was pretty shy about taking any clothes but this year I dove right in. I've been mostly looking for baby clothes although if something pops out in my size I'll usually pick it up. I figure if no one takes it they're just taking it to D.I. anyway so I may as well grab things!
I filled two big garbage sacks at my stake in the first hour and was surprised that very few people from the stake actually came. Then Sarah said that her stake was doing one at 11am so a group of us decided to go up and check that one out. It wasn't as good and I only found about a half-sack full of stuff. Natalie, Mom Bullock, Steph and I were sitting out in the hall going through stuff that hadn't been sorted and I pulled out a warmup jacket. There was an earwig crawling in it so I just THREW it away from me......right at Natalie! I felt so bad afterwards but - ew!
We decided were done right after that and called it a day. I showed Adam everything I'd picked up and he was quite impressed with how much I'd come back with! It was quite a stack.
I threw everything through the wash and spent the afternoon Sunday sorting it out by gender (boy or girl) and size. It's not quite as much when you do that; taken all together though it's a lot of clothes! I'm so excited for the next one on September 25th at Tara's stake!
